Follow your heart

Hello everyone,
Today's Splitcoaststampers challenge was a fun one, as I got to use a lot of my normal tools for today. And a few of my favorites! My favorite is my Big Shots Machine, since I love using die cuts. I also love my Judikins dusters , they are the best. Next I love the purple cow trimmer :) those are a few of my FAV'S.

I used the
PURPLE COW TRIMMER to trim all papers, then the
BIG SHOTS to cut all my die cuts.
SCISSORS to cut my ribbon,
POKEY TOOL to poke the pieces from my die cut,
DUSTER to dust the dress on the CottageCutz Victorian girl,
CLEAR BLOCK to stamp my sentiment,
GLUE GUN to add buttons to the corners
SEWING MACHINE- sewing on my card, love sewing!!!!!

The spellbinders die I used was one I bought at Michaels Craft when they were on sale for 5.00 cannot believe I got 8 sets for 5 each, then I take my mom by there last week and she gets them for a whopping 1.90, cannot believe that!!!! CRAZY I tell ya! wish they would have had more....hehehehe

Ok just had to share that :)
Thank you for looking and have a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Birthday Wishes/Pop-up Book Card

Hello everyone, here is another Pop-up Book card I made for Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge. I have to say, I truly love this new fold, its super fun!!!

So for my card today, I covered it with Graphic45 design paper, and DCWV for the gingham print. I am loving this design paper stack, and currently working with it for some calendars I'm making for Christmas.

CottageCutz Corners are from the Victorian Release, and I am loving all the CottageCutz dies in this release, Love using these!!!

This card here is for my mom's Birthday coming up in July.

The Lilies are from Heartfelt Creations, I stamped the stamps in Memento black ink, and then colored the center with Copic yellow, and next I airbrushed each lily petal. I spritzed them with clear spritzing bottle from American Crafts, it gives them each a little shimmer. then rolled them at the bottom, and set aside to dry. The ribbon is Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon. And the little ladybug purple button was found in one of my button jars, it works perfect for this card.

Love the inside. If your like me, I hardly ever do the insides until I give the card, and even then its just a white piece of cardstock. I really enjoy when the insides are done. I should be doing more like this. The stamped image is from CTMH,

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!

Pop up Book Card

 Hello everyone,
My card for today was designed for Splitcoaststampers Pop Up Book Challenge, well really the TLC challenge....hehehehe We were to make a card using this technique for today, and it was a super fun one!

On my card I used American Crafts Bazzill vintage Market Place for the inside and outside. The other blue polka dots is from American Crafts. I used it as well on the inside and outside.

So for the front, I used spellbinders dies, and then CottageCutz Victorian Corners, and Victorian Rose. Love these dies, and love the corners, they are absolutely beautiful for any project!

For the rose I dusted versamagic in Pink Petunia, and then airbrushed using copic RV34. The greenery was done in G99,YG05. I then glued some bling onto my rose. The corners were just cut in white card stock.

The stamped sentiments for outside and inside are from Our Daily Bread Design and is a friendship set I bought back in 2009.

The 2 frames on the front are spellbinders dies and came from a set Marvelous squares, I bought this set for 5.00 at michaels craft store, thanks to a dear friend Shannon, who also picked me up 4 other sets, and then took me to get 4 more sets....LOL

Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used the Polka Dot Satin.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!

I cut my Row House out using cream colored card stock. Then dusted it with distressed ink, and added some pearl strands, pearls, buttons, and flowers to embellish it. Love the way it looks with the embellishments on it. The design paper I used is from DCWV its the Text + Photo stack that I used.

For my ribbons I used Really Reasonable Ribbon, love this Satin! The sentiment tags are from American Crafts Pebbles line, and I just cut them down a bit so they would fit.

Shabby Chic Butterfly Post-it Notepad

Hello everyone, and Happy Saturday to all!
Today I'm posting to share a Post-it Notepad I made, for a dear friend. We celebrated Janna's Birthday Yesterday at my house, with a luncheon and lots of crafty fun! We had a Blast!

I just had to use this beautiful CottageCutz Victorian Butterfly Flourish as I absolutely love airbrushing them. Not only is it easy to do, but I love the results! Next I added some glitter in a couple of pink colors to give it some shimmery bling. Love the way it looks in person!
The card base was cut on the cricut, and then just added some circle layers in one of my favorite Bazzill Patterns, and American Crafts Polka dot blue dp from the large paper stack.

Sweetheart Blossoms are the little flowers and those are from Really Reasonable Ribbon, just LOVE them, they are by far one of my FAVORITE flowers out there. The branches were punched using the old Martha stewart punch. I also went through my stash of stamps, and found a couple of sweet ones, that were perfect for her card/post-it.
The seam binding I used is a bright Pink called "Summer Rose", and can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Bonnie carries tons of beautiful seam bindings, and I love them all!

Thank you for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Cheryl

Victorian /Shabby Chic Calendar 2016

Hello everyone, and Happy Thursday to all!
Today I wanted to share a Calendar I made for the Splitcoaststampers challenge "May Flowers" and also to give as a gift.
About 5 years ago, hubby and I made these wood stands to hold, calendars, recipes, and just sweet cards for the family. So this one is for my mom, she loves vintage dolls, and while helping her this past weekend, I picked up about 5 of these calendar things. I figured I would use it for the cards I make for the stands.

I cut her down a bit, and took the calendar off. Next I designed my card base for the hanger. All the bases measure 6 3/4 x 6 so they can hang on the stand.

I used the DCWV French Country Stack for the design paper, and did couple of layers, and added my sewing.

For the Ribbon bow, I used Really Reasonable Ribbons Blue Lace Seam binding, but dyed it last night using Mister Huey's "Heirloom Blue" die. I needed the seam binding to be a little different in color for this, although I think I liked it better the color it was before, now looking at the photo....LOL oh well, in person it looks fine....hehehe

The flowers I used are also from RRR and are the Sweetheart Blossoms. LOVE these!!!! Lastly I added some doily's, and some Moss green leaves.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,

Next I airbrushed the CottageCutz Victorian Tea Pot using Copics/ E93,RV19,BG32,YG13. The Tea Pot is from The Scrapping Cottage Victorian Release, LOVE this release!

The bow was done with single faced satin, and the half rosettes were done with satin, and velvet. All Ribbon can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also made a leaf using satin as well.

CottageCutz Victorian Bird

Hello everyone,  today I wanted to share a card made using the CottageCutz Victorian Release. Yes I am LOVING this Release, and have been busy crafting away with these BEAUTIFUL dies, I just LOVE the CottageCutz dies, not only are they super fun to work with, but easy to use as well.

My card today measures 6" x 6" and I used some bright colors for this one. I always have a hard time using the bright PINK, even though I love the color pink, its been a challenge for me. However I love the way this one turned out, as I used the bright PINK for highlights instead of using it as the main focal point.

CottageCutz dies used are - CottageCutz Victorian Bird, CottageCutz Victorian Floral, and CottageCutz Fancy Floral Frame I used airbrushing on the Bird and the Floral piece. love the look it gives to airbrush with the copics, not only that but its super easy to do as well. Inside the frame I stamped a SU! birthday sentiment.

Design paper is scraps that I had, and wanted to use up. I am trying to use up some of my scrap pieces that I have had in a basket. This is a nice challenge to get rid of scraps....Gotta love that!

CottageCutz dies used are

I did add some RRR in a Moss Satin, and then a button, and some gems to embellish my card. The Friend Stamp is super OLD its a Greeting Farm one, Called "Hello-Go-Round"

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, and thank you for stopping by and taking a Peek!
Hugs to all, and thank you again for all your super SWEET Comments! I LOVE reading them!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Happy Anniversary F4A271

Hello everyone, and Happy Saturday to all!
Today's card was designed for the Splitcoaststampers Challenge "wedding or Anniversary" so I went with Anniversary. I will be needing this next month for our 25th Anniversary!! :)

On my card I used CottageCutz Wedding dies, and the CottageCutz Oval Doily and Frame die. for the Design Paper I used DCWV , and the card stock is Bazzill Blind Date, and American Crafts white and grey.

Flowers I used are from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and are the Sweetheart Blossoms. I also used some leftover Really Reasonable Ribbon in Satin.

So for the Happy Anniversary I ended up using CottageCutz Expressions Dies. I was searching and searching for my Medium size Happy Anniversary stamps, and for some reason couldn't find a 1. I found all the tiny ones, and super large ones, but not medium, so thank goodness for these 2 dies, as they saved the day. I spent over an hour looking for the stamp so I could finish this card and upload it, however at that point I figured I would use the CottageCutz dies. After uploading the card, I spent several hours going through the thousands of stamps I own, and found the 1 stamp in a drawer I used to throw extra stamps in years ago. forgot about that....LOL at least I was able to finish my card and upload to the challenge...woohoooo

Time is of the essence

Hello everyone, today's card was designed for the Scrapping Cottage and SCS Way to use it challenge. The challenge was all about "TIME"! And was for Thursdays Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

On my card I used the Beautiful CottageCutz Elegant Butterfly, and airbrushed it using the Copic Markers. Love the way it turned out! I also added some glitter to the flourishes on this, where the orange is.
http://www.scrappingcottage.com/cottagecutzelegantbutterflyelites.aspx
The design paper I used is from American Crafts Crate Paper line Acorn Avenue. I got a ton of this in a box back when I was working the warehouse sale, so I figured I better start using some of it up... hehehehe

The Ribbon and Button are both from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The black piece of ribbon was leftover, so I wanted to use it for my card today. Lastly I added some half back pearls to my card, and some sewing.
This card was super simple and quick to make!!

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl
