Happy 100th Birthday

Hello everyone, Todays card was designed for The Robins Nest Creative and for my Great Uncle Ken who just turned 100, wow! How exciting that is. I hope that one day I too can celebrate 100. So again Happy 100th Birthday Uncle Ken, and hope it was an amazing day!

For my card I wanted to keep it as manly as possible , but also wanted to do something extra special, so I chose to do my faux glass flowers. I do have many videos on doing these. Now for these here, I did use inks and water to blend them, and love the way they turned out. I always love doing the glass flowers as I feel they look so much prettier and just have a look of their own verses just doing the paper ones.

Next I decorated using the dew drops throughout the flowers as the leaves. Love this as I do this on lots of my projects.

My original post of this card can be found here on the Robins Nest Creative blog.

Happy Crafting!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Sweet Tea cup w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and happy Monday to you all! Today's Tea cup was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and for a class I'm doing for my doll club meeting in November , that I'm hosting. I thought this would be a fun project for the ladies to all do.

My tea cup was cut using a die and Matt board to give it some strength I used scor tape to hold together. I then glued all the design papers to each matt board using scor tape and a little liquid glue. I had bought a huge pack of this design paper at our local warehouse sale, it cost me 1.00 for like 25 sheets. super awesome deal. The die I used is an Old Sizzix die. I added Really Reasonable ribbon's Gabrielle Lace My flowers were done using my Glass Flower techniques found HERE on my blog. I have a few different ones, hope you enjoy! I then hot glued the pearls to the centers of all my flowers. I added some feathers, and some branches for some embellishing on my cup. The ribbon bow was added on to hang the tag. I forgot to stamp a sentiment on my tag, oops!

Really Reasonable ribbon Supplies:
other supplies , liquid glue, hot glue, pearls, distress ink, feathers, punches, and dies.

Thank you so much for looking and hope you love my post for today!
Hugs,
Cheryl

I do have several videos on this technique, hope you enjoy! I also added the 8mm pearl to the center of each. You should have arrived from Maggi's Blog.  if not you will want to start at the beginning, The Cheery Lynn Designs Blog so you don't miss any of the designers posts for today.
For my card today I chose to use Cheery Lynns Beautiful dies along with the New IOE folder and plate. LOVE using these, as it was fun creating the "Thank You so much " border, and then the "Thank You" in the center of my card.

I wanted you to be able to see it really well , so I chose to use this shimmer cardstock, and then emboss the sentiment and highlight using some silver Brilliance ink.

Layer 1 - Card Base 5 1/2" x 5 1/4" light grey
Layer 2- 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" dark grey card stock, then 5" x 5" design paper from
Layer 3 is Cheery Lynns Royal Scandinavian Doily , then cut in half on the diagonal. Next I cut my dark grey layer, then my shimmer layer that I used the IOE Thank you Wishes Folder and IOE
Square Plate

Layer 4-Next for the embossed sentiment area I embossed the Thank you , then cut out using the oval dies. Next for the dark grey I chose to use Cheery Lynns Fancy frame called Mirror CABD-74

Layer 5- Flowers and these were cut using the Cheery Lynn Tea Rose Small die, and some light pink dp. Next I chose to do the Glass Flower Technique and distress the edges of each petal with 2 different red inks. Lastly I added some Really Reasonable Ribbon Pearls to the centers(8mm and 10mm)

Cheery Lynn Dies and IOE's used:
IOE Thank You Wishes Embossing Folder
IOE Square Plates
Royal Scandinavian Doily Die
Wreath Strip
Tea Rose Small for flowers
Mirror CABD-74

Design paper is Authentique Uncommon Collection. I have to say I LOVE this collection,

Dream Big Telescoping Card

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my Dream Big Telescope Fold Card designed for JustRite Papercraft, using their beautiful Stamps and dies! My card was also created for a few different challenges, and I will have them listed below!

LOVE making the Telescope cards, they are super fun and easy to create. I did use the Beautiful Stamps from JustRite Papercraft and they are called Congrats Card Basics(CR05068), those are all the sentiments, and iron works.
Next I used the Small Oval Wishes stamps(CR-05053) and that would be one of the decorated oval stamps on the top part of my card. Also used the coordinating dies called "Joy Oval Frame Dies(DIE-05049) and to back the oval Dream Big layer, I used the JustRite Heart & Frame Die(DIE-05016) I cut 2 of those out in cream(small heart die) and distressed them and placed them behind the small oval die cut piece. Love how it frames that area perfect!

For my card base I used random spellbinders dies, that I have in my stash. Card measures 4 x 4 closed and 4 x 9 open. I love that the bottom part has a hidden message area, I do have a video showing how to create this card, and you can find that HERE in my Tutorials!

Flowers are JustRite Floral Trio One Dies(DIE-05022) #3 cut 6 times and distressed with Red Ink to give this look. I also airbrushed a bit of the flowers. Lastly I did do my Glass Flower technique and added a half backed pearl to each flower.

Embellishments - Ribbon from my stash, old old vintage button, and then a part of a feather!
In the photo above you can see where you can do your writing and hide it. My writing is sloppy, so I would want it hidden....hehehehehehehe LOL anyways it is a little messy. :)

Challenges:
Word Art Wednesday /Anything Goes
Card and Scrap/Flower challenge
Craft Dee Bowz/Anything goes with a handmade bow
Scrappyland/anything goes(I used spellbinders to create my telescope card)
Fussy N Fancy/Die cuts/or punches(I used dies)
Glitter N Sparkle /Flower Power

Hope you enjoyed my post for today! Please let me know what you think of my card for today!
hugs to all
