1st challenge is the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.

2nd challenge is the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge.

As many of you know my hubby and I have been out of work since the beginning of Aug. So this Christmas ive had to get really creative and try to come up with some Christmas gifts to give. Well this is one , I will be making some coasters to match this, and im giving this set to my brother and his wife Melina.

To start you will want to stamp with staz on black ink, then bake for 20 minutes on 350 in the oven.

Let cool then add your stickles and embellish!!!

Side is covered with trim, I glued it on with the hot glue gun!!!

Now the back is covered with felt, and then I added a loop of ribbon to hold the pen (still need to buy the pens) lol

then I added a bow to cover the loop!!

NOTE: everything is glued on with a HOT GLUE GUN!! :)

And here is my tile finished!!! Thank goodness!!!LOL
Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial on how to cover a tile!!! :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!

PDD Tues & Tutorial on Alcohol Inks !!!

Todays card was done for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this weeks challenge is to show the "Earth Rejoicing"

I wanted to show you a tutorial on how I use Alcohol inks on this Rose! Also one of my cards from last weeks challenge was picked for the Shining Star Award for this week!!!

This technique is super fun and easy, and you dont have to worry about getting the shading all wrong. I love the look of the Alcohol inks with this technique and im sure you will too!!

first I used tattered rose and the blending solution on my tool.

Next I took the Fire Brick and more solution on a different pad and dabbed over the rose. The sponge I used to soak up excess ink.
I then used the gold pen to outline the rose!

On the leaves I used a copic marker to color super fast for my base coat. Then dapped with Peeled Paint Distress ink and solution on another new pad.(you can keep these pads a reuse them)

Here is a picture with the Distressed ink and use the sponge to soak up extra.

Picture below shows me adding the gold to the veins of the leaves.
Hope you will give this technique a try, and let me know what you think of it!!! Have fun!!!
Here is a link to the Distressed inks to view other colors, and Marti always has these for super cheap!!!
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!!
